Gives a comprehensive overview of where to go in getting mortgage help, and what to do when facing a foreclosure. Offers a listing of approved housing and credit counseling agencies, and provides tips on identifying foreclosure “rescue” scams.

Federal Housing Administration (FHA)
Offers a myriad of resources to avoid foreclosure, from reference documents to meeting with a housing counselor. Provides information on FHA-approved mortgage refinancing options including FHA Secure and HOPE for Homeowners.

Provides information online, as available in their 12 national Foreclosure Resource Centers. Includes links from various federal agencies on topics from foreclosure prevention and credit counseling, to tax relief and debt cancellation.
