The City Council has six (6) active commissions & boards that provide a diverse viewpoint on issues facing the San Fernando community. If you’re interested in participating, feel free to contact the corresponding department that provides administrative services to each Commission.

  • On November 19, 2018, the City Council approved the formation of a Measure “A” Community Advisory Committee to review the Annual Measure “A” Report and provide general recommended budget priorities for the use of Measure “A” funds during the annual budget process.
  • The Committee will be made up of two residents, up to two business owners, up to two labor representatives, and one at large member.
  • The Committee is expected to meet at least twice per year.
  • Anyone interested in serving the community on the Measure “A” Community Advisory Committee is encouraged to apply. See Forms Section below for an application.

  • Assists the City Council with the master planning and development of the City’s park facilities and recreational programming.
  • Meets the second Tuesday of every other month (bi-monthly) at 6 pm in the Council Chambers located at 117 Macneil Street, San Fernando.

  • Assists the City Council on identifying the needs of resident seniors and advocating and making recommendation on ways to meet their needs.
  • Meets the fourth Thursday of each month (except November and December) at 1 pm in the Las Palmas Park Arts & Crafts Room located at 505 South Huntington Street, San Fernando.
